The Rockets spent last weekend in Nashville for the Mule Mix Classic, with games scheduled against Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee, Austin Peay, and Belmont. The weather had other ideas, unfortunately, as the games against Middle Tennessee and Austin Peay were rained out. After a two-day hiatus, UT returned to the diamond for a doubleheader against Belmont, playing one nine-inning game and one seven-inning game against the Bruins. Toledo lost to Lipscomb, 12-6, and split the twin bill with Belmont, winning 10-7 in game one and falling 5-2 in game two.
Rocket Notes
Davidson is 4-1 entering the weekend, its only loss coming at Duke on Feb. 19. The Wildcats lead the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 8.6 runs per game and their pitching staff ranks second in the league in WHIP (0.98) and third in ERA (2.66). Senior Allen Barry was named A-10 Pitcher of the Week after the first weekend of the season. He has won both of his starts this season and has yet to allow a run. At the plate, junior Brett Centracchio leads Davidson with a .364 batting average.

Rocket Notes
- Chris Meyers has embodied the phrase "hit it where they ain't" so far this season. His batting average on balls in play is .538.
- Toledo was the only MAC team to leave opening weekend with a winning record. It's the first time since 2012 that UT has had a winning record on opening weekend.
- The Rockets are leading the MAC in batting average (.270) and on-base percentage (.388).
- Individually, Michael Jacob is second in the conference with 13.0 innings pitched.
- Last season, the Rockets had just four wins when trailing after seven innings. This year, they already have two such victories.
- Brad Boss and Darryn Davis are the only two Rockets to have reached base in every game so far.
