Men’s Tennis to Compete in ITA Midwest Regional

TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's tennis team will head to Columbus, Ohio for the ITA Midwest Regional, hosted by Ohio State. Competition will run from Oct. 17-21 and will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center.

Last Time Out
The Rockets hit the road for the Louisville Invitational last weekend, where sophomore Cole Shoults and senior Thawin Suksathaporn fought their way to the D doubles back draw final, defeating Louisville's Clement Filho/Juan Paredes for the title, 6-3. Junior Filip Zupancic also earned a singles title in the E singles back draw.

Last Time at the ITA Midwest Regionals
Last season the Rockets traveled to South Bend, Ind., where, in the qualifying rounds, Suksathaporn defeated Ohio State's Jacob Wareti (1-6, 6-2, 7-5) before falling to NIU's Kristopher Ortega (4-6, 6-3, 6-1). Vince Anzalone made his way to the main draw, where he fell early to Cleveland State's Matthew Terry in three sets (2-6, 6-3, 6-3).

Live video will be available throughout the tournament. Live scoring will begin with Sunday's quarterfinal matches. Results will be posted periodically throughout the day on the draw links.
