Rocket Notes
- Toledo's offense has flexed its muscles the first 11 games this year. UT leads the MAC in home runs (13), extra-base hits (41), and slugging percentage (.443).
- Hansen has been an offensive force on this road trip. He's hitting .529 (9-for-17) with six extra-base hits and comes into the weekend riding a 10-game hitting streak.
- Sam Shutes has been stingy on the mound when it comes to giving away free bases. In 17.1 innings this season he has walked just two, while striking out 16. Last Sunday, Shutes struck out a career-high 11 in six scoreless innings in Toledo's 7-2 win against Sacred Heart.
- Montoya's home run against the Lions on Tuesday gave him 24 for his career, moving him into the Top 10 in Toledo history in career homers. He is tied with Aaron Dudley (2007-10) and Mike King (1991-94).
