SETTING THE SCENE
       Toledo (16-7, 8-2 MAC) delivered an emphatic response from seeing its seven-game winning streak snapped by Ball State last Tuesday with a resounding 77-56 road victory over Akron on Saturday. UT will now set its sights on putting together a new streak when it hosts Mid-American Conference West Division foe Northern Illinois (10-13, 3-7 MAC) on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Tip-off time from Savage Arena is 7:00 p.m. with the game being streamed on ESPN3.
       UT possesses a three-game lead in the Mid-American Conference's West Division over Ball State (14-9, 5-5 MAC) and Western Michigan (13-10, 5-5 MAC). The Rockets and Buffalo (17-6, 9-1 MAC) are the only two teams in the MAC with less than four defeats.

Jaelan Sanford propelled Toledo to its win over the Zips, the 11th in its last 13 contests. Fletcher tallied a game-high 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Sanford contributed 18 points, a career-high seven boards and five helpers. The Rockets shut down Akron's offense by yielding a season-low 56 points and limiting the Zips to a 39.0 field-goal percentage.

QUICK HITTERS
•  Fletcher is the lone individual to appear in the MAC's Top 10 in points, rebounds and assists with 18.8 ppg (2nd), 8.6 rpg (3rd) and 4.3 apg (3rd). Fletcher also tops the MAC in league play at 20.6 ppg.
•  Sanford ranks second on the team and sixth in the MAC with 16.6 ppg, while freshman guard
Marreon Jackson is third with a 43.6 3PTFG% and fifth with a 1.9 assist/turnover ratio. Junior forward

•  As a team, Toledo ranks 18th nationally (as of Feb. 4) with its 40.6 3PTFG% and also tops the MAC with its 47.4 FG% and 1.3 assist/turnover ratio. The Rockets are also second with 80.2 ppg, 15.9 apg and third with 9.9 three-point FGs per game.
•  The Rockets are 7-4 on the road this season and have won seven of their last eight contests away from Savage Arena. UT's only loss during this stretch was a 104-94 loss at Buffalo (Jan. 2).
•  Northern Illinois is 1-9 on the road this season and has dropped three in a row and five of its last six contests since opening league play by splitting its first four games.
•  Sophomore guard Eugene German is tied for first in MAC scoring at 19.2 ppg. Junior forward Levi Bradley rank second in team scoring at 13.9 ppg and has a team-high 5.4 rpg.
•  The Huskies rank third in the MAC with a 46.2 FG% but are 11th in FG% defense (46.0).
•  Toledo and NIU split a pair of meetings last year with both teams winning in enemy territory. The Rockets snapped a four-game losing streak against the Huskies with their 88-80 (OT) victory.

• Toledo leads the MAC in FG% (49.7), 3PTFG% (42.7) and three-point field goals per game (10.3) and ranks second in points (82.7) and assists (16.7 apg) per game, scoring margin (+10.6), rebounding margin (+3.2) and assist/turnover ratio (1.5).
