Toledo Sits in 13th Place After Two Rounds at Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – Toledo sits in 13th place after the opening two rounds at the Boilermaker Invitational on Saturday. The tourney is being hosted by Big Ten member Purdue at the Kampen Course (Par-72, 7423 Yards).
The Rockets fired a team score of 40-over par 616 (307-309) to find themselves 13th among 15 squads.
Freshman Joe Bryce is pacing UT at four-over par 148 (71-77) and tied for 17th place among 84 individuals.
Junior co-captain Colin Joseph is five strokes behind Bryce and tied for 46th place at nine-over par 153 (79-74).
Freshman Thomas Thurloway is tied for 65th place at 13-over par (79-78), junior co-captain Stephen Watts shot 14-over par 158 (78-80) to sit tied for 71st spot and freshman Grant Godfrey is in the clubhouse at 20-over par and tied for 82nd place, respectively.
Mid-American Conference member Kent State leads the 15-team field with a tally of five-over par 581 (285-296). The Golden Flashes hold a six-stroke advantage over the host Boilermakers (587) and a 35-shot lead against the Midnight Blue & Gold. Â Â
Individually, Wisconsin's Nick Robinson rests atop the leaderboard with a score of three-under par 141 (71-70) and maintains a one-stroke advantage over KSU's Bjarki Petursson's at two-under par 142 (73-69).
The tournament will conclude on Sunday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:45 a.m. The Rockets will be paired with Michigan and Cincinnati for tomorrow's final 18 holes.
