Honolulu, HI – Toledo (7-14) dropped a pair of games to Hawaii in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday in Honolulu, Oahu. UT first fell, 3-0, due to three Rainbow Wahine home runs and then dropped a 6-1 decision in the nightcap.
Hawaii 3, Toledo 0
Hawaii's Dana Thomson (3-2) fired a one-hit shutout for the 'Bows. Thomsen faced only 24 batters, striking out 10 and walking two. The home team outhit Toledo, 8-1, and neither team committed an error.
Sophomore
Heather Webb (2-5) recorded the loss after throwing her ninth complete game. Webb retired four batters and didn't give up a walk.
Junior OF
Ashley Rausch recorded Toledo's sole hit in the contest and also stole a base.
Hawaii's Angelique Ramos started off the scoring with a solo homer to left center in the bottom of the third. The 'Bows then recorded back-to-back home runs in the home-half of the sixth by Callee Heen and Heather Morales.

Hawaii put two runs on the board in the third with an RBI double to the center-field fence by Nicole Lopez. The 'Bows added two more off an RBI single by Ramos.
The Rockets plated their first run of the day in the top of the fourth. Golden reached first on a single to center field. Junior
Marriah Wise made entered the game to pinch run for Golden and scored off an RBI single to right field by Cozy.
In the bottom of the fourth frame, freshman
Leah Allison (2.0 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K) relieved starting pitcher
Alissa Noble (2-4). Noble was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs on three hits and walking five.
Hawaii's Morales hit her second homer of the day with a two-run bomb to center field in the fifth extend UH's lead, 6-1.
Sophomore
Kailey Minarchick replaced Allison in the circle in the sixth frame and didn't give up a hit.
