Toledo Heads to Youngstown State for Final Non-Conference Match

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's tennis team (7-5) will hit the road to face off against Youngstown State (6-6) this Saturday, March 18 in a 6:00 p.m. match. The contest will be held at the Boardman Tennis Center in Youngstown, OH.

The Rockets are looking to notch their eighth-straight dual-match victory over YSU this weekend. UT's last loss to the Penguins came in the form of a 6-1 defeat in 2006.

The Rockets are coming off of a pair of hard-fought wins vs. Nova Southeastern and Florida Atlantic during UT's spring trip to Florida. UT bested the Sharks, 6-3, and FAU, 4-3. Prior to its spring trip, Toledo claimed a 6-1 win over Butler in the Glass City. The Rockets recorded straight-set victories from No. 2 through No. 6 singles.

The league office announced earlier in the week that sophomore Claire Aleck was named the Singles Player of the Week for the first time this season, while her teammates senior Sidnay Huck and freshman Deedee Leenabanchong were named the Doubles Team of the Week for the second time.
