The Rockets jumped on the board in the opening frame after junior OF Ashley Rasuch (3-for-4) scored off a double by junior 1B Samantha Showalter.

Toledo added another run in the third on an RBI single by Rausch. Junior OF Marriah Wise had reached first with a bunt, stole second and advanced home on Rausch's single to left field.

UT tacked on another run in the following frame. Cozy reached on a double to left-center and advanced home on a pair of well-executed sacrifices by her teammates. Junior Kylie Gross' sacrifice bunt moved Cozy to third and senior C Ashley Maynard's sacrifice fly to center field brought her home.

Rausch hit a solo home run to center field in the fifth to put UT ahead, 4-0. It was her first homer of the season and the second of her career.

Toledo closed out its scouring with a pair of runs plated in the sixth inning. Freshman Morgan Paaverud entered the game to pinch-hit for sophomore 1B Megan Choate in the sixth with two Rockets in scoring position.
