TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's soccer team was defeated by Buffalo, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Scott Park.
The Rockets (7-6-3, 4-2-2 MAC) and the Bulls (6-7-2, 4-3-1 MAC) played a nearly identical match with each squad taking 11 shots and two corner kicks. Toledo was dispersed offensively as seven players took shots and no one took more than two.

Madison Perrin made four saves in goal for the Rockets, while Buffalo goalkeeper Laura Dougall stopped five shots.
Toledo and Buffalo sped through the first half with neither team seriously threatening to score.Â
The Bulls scored the lone goal of the match in the 59th minute when Julia Benati found Carissima Cutrona on the left side. Cutrona found the back of the net to put Buffalo up 1-0.
Toledo pushed the pace and attempted four shots in the final 10 minutes, but could not find an equalizer to force overtime. Senior Chiara Paradiso took a free kick from just outside the box in the 89th minute but missed just wide.
The women's soccer team takes to the road to meet MAC East Division-leading Kent State on Thursday, Oct. 19 and Ohio on Sunday, Oct. 22. The Rockets then return to Scott Park for their final regular-season match against I-75 rival Bowling Green on Thursday, Oct. 26.
