Rockets Take on UIC, Chicago State This Weekend

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's tennis team will hit the road for a pair of matches in Chicago, IL this weekend. The Rockets will battle Illinois – Chicago on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11:00 a.m. before taking on Chicago State on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 8:00 a.m.
"This will be a good test for us to be on the road for back to back matches," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "I was impressed with what we did against Purdue and now we are just looking to improve even more this weekend."
Toledo (0-1) is coming off a 6-1 loss to Purdue in its season opener. Junior Sidnay Huck was the only Rocket to claim an individual victory on the day. Huck defeated Nicole Robinson, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 1 singles.
Huck also paired up with freshman Deedee Leenabanchong to defeat Purdue at first doubles, 6-4.
