NOBLESVILLE, IN – Freshman Pimchanok Kawil fired a season-low three-under par 69 to help Toledo conclude the second round of the 2016 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships three strokes behind No. 13 Kent State. The Golden Flashes are looking to win the tournament, which is being held at the par-72, 6,186-yard Purgatory Golf Club, for the 18^th straight year and are the only school to win the conference crown.
 
Kawil was the lone Rocket to shoot under par today as UT shot a five-over par 293 to stand at six-over 582 through the first 36 holes. KSU carded a three-under par 285 today and is leading the field at three-over 579. Ohio is in third place at 17-over par 593 (301-292).
 
Kawil, who became the third Rocket to post a score under 70 in MAC Championships history, is tied for second place on the individual leaderboard. She trails Akron's Danielle Nicholson (69-71=140) by two strokes. She played her final five holes at two-under par and collected six birdies on the day.

Toledo was three-under par through the first nine holes but was unable to carry that success over to the back nine.  Senior Manisa Isavas was the only Rocket besides Kawil to birdie a hole after the turn.
 
Isavas is two shots behind Kawil at even-par 144 (69-75) and tied for fifth place, while senior Sathika Ruenreong (74-74) and freshman Natcha Daengpiem (73-75) are tied for 12^th place at four-over par 148. Rounding out the Rocket lineup is senior Morgan Salm, who is tied for 24^th place at eight-over par 152 (75-77).
 
The Rockets will tee off on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. in their bid to win their first MAC Championship in program history.
