TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo softball team (6-25) was unable to get much going on Saturday in its series finale against Miami. UT fell to the RedHawks, 12-1, at Scott Park. The Rockets are now 1-5 in league play.

Jessica Lemieux led Toledo's offense going 2-for-3 with a run scored. Junior 2B

Ashley Rausch (1-2) each recorded a hit.

Miami jumped on the board first with the help of two solo home runs in the second followed by a two-run homer in the third.

Samantha Showalter's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third inning.

The RedHawks extended their lead in the fifth by scoring three more runs and followed with one run in the sixth and four more in the seventh.

The Rockets will hit the road for a mid-week doubleheader at Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, April 5 before returning home next weekend for conference games against Ohio.
