
Head Coach Cory Mee Looks for Win No. 300 Against Dayton and Michigan

Toledo, OH – Toledo is back in action during the midweek for contests against Dayton (12-24, 4-8) and Michigan (25-9, 7-5). The Rockets will play UD in the friendly confines of Scott Park on Tuesday, April 19 at 3:05 p.m. before heading on the road to take on UM on Wednesday, April 20 at 4:00 p.m.

Head coach Cory Mee expects sophomore RHP Nolan Silberhorn (0-1, 8.44) to start for UT against Dayton and freshman RHP Parker Ruffer (0-1, 8.10) to throw against Michigan. Silberhorn will earn his first career start, while Ruffer will start his second game. LHP Mason Kutruff (5-2, 5.14) will pitch for Dayton.

Mee heads into the midweek looking for win No. 300. He is the winningest coach in program history and is 299-392-1 all-time and 158-161 in the Mid-American Conference.

The Rockets are coming off one win over intrastate foe Wright State. The Midnight Blue & Gold scored a season-high nine runs in the 9-3 victory. Senior SS Deion Tansel picked up his second three-RBI game of the season and swiped two bags in a 1-for-3 day and sophomore 3B/DH Brad Boss ripped a two-run home run, his second of the season, and also scored three runs.

Senior RHP Ross Achter picked up his fourth victory of the season after throwing 6.2 innings and scattering three hits.
The Flyers are coming off a 13-12 extra-inning victory over St. Bonaventure. Michigan is currently ranked No. 22 in the country and is swept Nebraska last weekend.
The contest with Dayton will be shown live on BCSN and ESPN3. The Rockets will be back in action for a weekend series at Central Michigan beginning on Friday, April 22 at 3:05 p.m.
