TOLEDO, OH – Toledo fell to Eastern Michigan, 8-6, in its third match-up of the season. With the loss, the Rockets fall to 8-28 on the season and 3-8 in the MAC, while the Eagles improve to 15-23 overall and 5-6 in the conference.

EMU's Aoife Duffy doubled to left field in the fourth to put the Eagles on the board after Brandice Olomos' RBI single.
Eastern Michigan took its first lead with three runs in the fifth following an RBI single and a Toledo error.
The Eagles extended their lead with four more runs in the sixth.
After two quick outs in the seventh, George blasted her second homer of the season to left field. She scored sophomore 1B
Samantha Showalter, who had reached on a walk. The Rockets were unable to plate any more runs to complete their comeback.

Marla Gooding took the loss for the Rockets after pitching 6.1 innings. Gooding gave up five earned runs, walked one and struck out one.
Toledo travels to Mount Pleasant, MI this weekend for a three-game series with Central Michigan on Friday and Saturday, April 15-16. The single contest on Friday will begin at 3:00 p.m., while the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
