Kent, OH – Toledo (7-25-1, 3-6 MAC) dropped the final game of the series to Kent State (22-10, 6-3), 2-1, in 12 innings at Olga A. Mural Field at Schoonover Stadium. The Rockets took the lead in the top of the ninth, 1-0, but lost in the bottom of the 12
th with a walk-off walk. With the loss, the Rockets drop to 7-25-1 and 3-6 in Mid-American Conference play.

Sam Shutes started for the Rockets and struck out a season-high eight batters over 5.0 innings. Senior RHP

Alex Wagner also pitched in relief for the Rockets. Slack, Duby, and Wagner did not allow a run to score, and the Rockets fanned a combined 16 batters.

Toledo took the lead in the top of the ninth when Bollinger ripped a single to left-center field to score Adolph, who reached on a walk.Â

Kent State sent the contest to extra innings when Dylan Rosa hit a two-out single down the third base line to tie the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the inning.

Mason Mamarella reached on a bunt single in the bottom of the 12th to start the inning. After a sacrifice moved him over to third, the Rockets elected to intentionally walk the bases loaded. Relliy Hawkins brought home the winning run on a walk-off walk.
