
Toledo Travels South for Midweek Contest with Dayton

GAME NOTES
Dayton, OH – Toledo (3-17-1, 0-0 MAC) will head south for a midweek contest with Dayton (4-14, 0-0 A10) on Wednesday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Woerner Field at Time Warner Cable Stadium.
Head Coach Cory Mee expects freshman RHP Parker Ruffer (0-0, 6.75 ERA) to take the mound for the Rockets on Wednesday. The Flyers have not announced its starter for tomorrow.
Last time out, the Rockets picked up one win over Big Ten member Indiana. Senior LHP Ross Achter earned his second victory of the season after throwing a career-high 7.0 innings and striking out a career-high six batters. Achter earned Mid-American Conference West Pitcher Player of the Year for his performance.Â
Senior SS Deion Tansel, sophomore DH Brad Boss and senior C Lucas Sokol all picked up one RBI in the win. Tansel also scored a run and walked once. Freshman 2B Riley Campbell also added two hits and scored one run.
Last weekend, the Flyers lost three-of-four to MAC foe Ball State. UD won the last game of the series against the Cardinals, 3-1. Dayton was selected 11th in the 2016 A10 Preseason Coaches' Poll after picking up 39 points.
Mee is 8-9 all-time against the Flyers. The Rockets last earned a win, 5-4, at Scott Park on April 23, 2014.
