Toledo Heads to Hoosier State to Face Indiana

GAME NOTES
Bloomington, IN – Toledo (2-14-1, 0-0 MAC) will head to the Hoosier State for a four-game series with Indiana (6-8, 0-0 Big Ten) beginning on Friday, March 18 at 4:35 p.m.
Head coach Cory Mee expects senior LHP Steven Calhoun (1-3, 3.57 ERA) to take the mound for the Rockets on Friday. Senior LHP Ross Achter (1-3, 5.14) and junior RHP Sam Shutes (0-2, 7.94) will pitch on Saturday, and senior RHP Caleb Schillace should toe the rubber on Sunday. Pitching for Indiana will be LHP Kyle Hart (3-1, 1.40), RHP Evan Bell (0-1, 2.91) and LHP Caleb Baragar (1-1, 1.50). Sunday's starter for IU has not been announced.
UT heads back to the state of Indiana after a midweek contest with Notre Dame. Sophomore INF Brad Boss ripped his first career home run in the eighth inning of the 10-3 loss to the Fighting Irish. Sophomore Dalton Bollinger picked up two hits and one RBI, and improved his season batting average to .300 (12-for-40).
Indiana took down Evansville last Tuesday, and picked up a series victory over Western Carolina last weekend. IU was tabbed to finish third in the conference in the 2016 Big Ten Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll. The coaches also selected three Hoosiers to the 2016 Big Ten Baseball Players to Watch, including the Friday starter, Kyle Hart.
All four games can be seen on BTN2Go. After the four-game series, Toledo is back in action on Tuesday, March 29 at Dayton. Â
