
Rockets Drop 2-0 Decision to Buffalo

The Rockets (14-31, 5-10 MAC) outhit their opponent 4-3 for the second-consecutive game, but could not produce any runs in the team's ninth straigh loss.
Four Rockets recorded a hit as junior CF Alyssa Smith went 1-for-3, freshman 1B Celeste Fidge went 1-for-3, junior OF Mareshah Scott went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit single, and freshman 2B Ashley London also went 1-for-3.
Freshman P Emily Anderson had another strong outing, pitching six innings, while allowing just three hits and two runs. She also fanned seven batters on the day.
Buffalo took an early lead in the bottom of the second inning, when they hit a solo home run to left field. The Bulls added a second run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly to left field.
In the top of the third, Toledo was threatening after sophomore LF reached base on a fielding error. Lemieux stole second and advanced to third on a single by Smith, but was stranded when senior 3B Lani Ernst fouled out.
The Rockets will conclude the weekend with a single game against the Bulls at 1:00 p.m.
