Audrey Miller crushes eighth home run of season in series opener
DEKALB, Ill. – The Toledo softball team fell to Northern Illinois, 3-1, in the series opener on Friday afternoon in DeKalb, Ill.
Audrey Miller plated the lone run for the Rockets with a solo homer in the top of the seventh inning. Miller's long ball was her eighth of the season and 17th of her career, a mark that ranks eighth in program history.
Katie McDonald (10-11) started in the circle, throwing 5.1 innings. Junior Mady Yackee appeared in relief, registering the final two outs of the afternoon.
