TALLAHASSEE, FL - Senior Dugan Murphy carded a one-under par 70 to lead the Rockets in Saturday's second round at the Seminole Intercollegiate. Toledo is in 16th place as a team at 34-over par 602.
Murphy's round consisted of five birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey. He nearly brought a three-under par scorecard into the clubhouse but double-bogeyed his last hole.
Murphy sits in a 28th-place tie with freshman Chris Selfridge five strokes behind him tied for 59th place at seven-over 149 (69-80). Rounding out the Rockets' lineup are by senior Michael Cermak (T-83rd/76-79=155), freshman Patrick Cermak (T-83rd/77-78=155) and sophomore Oliver Holtsberry (T-88th/79-79=158).
No. 8 Georgia Tech leads the 18-team field with an impressive 16-under par 552, five strokes ahead of No. 28 Florida State. The Seminoles' Chase Seiffert leads all individuals at eight-under par 134 (67-67) and is one shot in front of Kennesaw State's Jeff Karlsson (65-70=135).
The tournament's final round will be held on Sunday.
