Rocky River, OH - One day after losing 6-1 at home to Youngstown State, the University of Toledo women's tennis team went on the road to Cleveland State on Sunday and picked up a 6-1 victory over Vikings.
After sitting out the Youngstown State match due to injury, junior Myriam Cueva returned to play doubles, teaming with Eunice Paravicini to win at the first flight.
Sophomore Sarah VanderMolen picked up a win at fifth singles (6-0, 6-0) and at third doubles with Sarah Horning (8-3). Horning won her fourth singles match 6-4, 6-2.
Paravicini won her second consecutive match at first singles (6-3, 6-2), while Jenny Belsky won at the third singles flight (6-4, 6-1) and Daniella Moran won at sixth singles (6-2, 6-4).
"I'm happy that we were able to rebound from Saturday's loss (to Youngstown State)," said Head Coach Tracy Honko. "We were poor on Saturday so it was nice to come out today and get a win."
