YPSILANTI, MI - The University of Toledo women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 setback against Eastern Michigan in Mid-American Conference action at Scicluna Field.
"I don't really know what to say," Toledo Head Coach Brad Evans said. "We gave up three goals in a very short span in the first half to dig a big hole for ourselves. But give Eastern (Michigan) a lot of credit. They are a good finishing team and made the most of their opportunities."
The Rockets' lone tally was scored by senior Rebecca Hollis in the beginning stages of the second half.
"For as bad as it was in the first half, I thought we played a great second half," Evans said. "We scored 10 minutes in and had a lot more opportunities, but we didn't convert. And that was the difference in the game."
The Rockets return to the road on Sunday, Sept. 26 with a contest at Central Michigan. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Mount Pleasant.
"We have to put today's setback behind us and try to find a way to come out strong on Sunday against a very good Central (Michigan) squad," Evans said.
