Toledo Falls at Morehead State, 23-22

MOREHEAD, KY - Toledo (2-1) saw its season-opening two-game win streak come to an end today with a 23-22 loss at Morehead State (1-7) at Allen Field.
The Eagles scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth inning to pick up their first win of the 2003 season.
Juniors SS Chris Arvay (4-for-6, 3 RBI, 2 runs) and C Mitch Maier (5-for-7, 3 runs, 2 RBI) paced the Rockets' attack, which produced 24 hits against four Morehead State pitchers.
Five Rockets collected at least three hits in the contest - junior CF Sean Dobson (3-for-7), senior 2B Taylor Eckel (3-for-7), senior LF Jay Juras (3-for-4), Maier and Arvay.
Sophomore Kurt Woeste (0-1) was the fifth different pitcher used by the Rockets took the loss in relief.
The Rockets will now head to sunny Orlando, FL to participate in the Rollins Invitational on March 10-15. UT will open action vs. Rollins on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
