Toledo rallies from 20 points down before falling to Redhawks, 68-58
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team's bid for a championship came to an end on Saturday as the Rockets fell to Miami, 68-58, in the MAC Tournament Championship Game at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on Saturday.

No. 1 seed Miami (28-6) jumped out to a 16-0 lead, and led by as many as 20 points in the second quarter. Toledo battled back, eventually cutting the RedHawks' lead to just five points, 60-55, on a three-point play by Patricia Anumgba with 1:17 to play. But Miami made 8-of-8 free throws in the final minute to clinch the title.

No. 6 seed Toledo (17-15) was led by Anumgba, who had 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Anumgba, who averaged 23.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in the three tournament games, was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team. Junior guard Ella Weaver added 10 points and six rebounds.

"We knew it was going to be a fight, a defensive battle. Our start really put us behind the eight-ball. Then we got sped up late and missed some shots that we normally make at the rim. I was proud of our adjustments in the second half. I thought our players fought to the end. I'm incredibly proud of this team and I'm incredibly proud to be their coach."

- Miami scored the first 16 points of the game before Camryn Vanderbosch and Ella Weaver hit three-pointers to make the score 16-6 at the first quarter break.
- The Rockets' defense held the RedHawks to 5-of-16 shooting (31.3%) in the second quarter, reducing what had been a 20-point deficit to 28-16 at halftime.
- Patricia Anumgba scored all nine points in a 9-3 Toledo run near the end of the third quarter that pulled Toledo to within six, 46-40, after three quarters.
