Toledo Suffers 8-4 Setback to Rollins College

Orlando, FL - Toledo (2-5) suffered an 8-4 setback to Rollins College (16-10) tonight for its fifth straight loss after opening the season with two wins over Morehead State. Gator Brooks registered his fifth win of the season for the Tars with Jason Cloar going 3-for-5 with one run and two RBI's in the win.
The Tars jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after one-and-a-half innings before the Rockets began to rally. UT tallied one run on two hits in the bottom of the second to cut Rollins' lead to 4-1. The Rockets' cut even more into the Tars' lead in the bottom of the third as they with two runs on three hits, including a triple by Mitch Maier. The Tars put the game away though with one run each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take a 7-3 advantage.
Toledo tallied one run on two hits in the seventh to close the Tars' lead to 7-4 going into the eighth inning. Rollins then added an insurance run in the top of the eighth for an 8-4 lead.
Chris Arvay and Sean Dobson each went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Rockets' attack.
Toledo returns to action on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with a matchup against Georgetown.
