Recap| Final Stats| Notes

Head Coach Stan Joplin

(Opening comments)
"You think you should be able to put a team away when we were up by as many points as we were in the second half but we didn't do a very good job. Youngstown State took the ball inside and we were a step slow especially when we got a lead and then we relaxed. We didn't come out with the energy we need to start the second half. We did the same thing in the first half until Justin Ingram picked up the pressure defense and that helped. We never got that back the rest of the game for some reason. We took a couple steps back from our IPFW game and that was disappointing."

(on Allen Pinson coming through with a couple of key baskets late in the game)
"Allen didn't play with enough enthusiasm or energy until the end of the game. Then he made plays that made you wonder where he was earlier in the game. I know he's still a freshman but he has to play with more intensity. Hopefully he is learning from his mistakes because he has the type of ability that he can create a lot of problems for the defense."

(on how Youngstown State got back in the game)
"Youngstown State started to go inside and we started shooting too many jump shots from the perimeter. Then we started getting in foul trouble because we weren't moving our feet. We really struggled. That's the time of the game you have to have that killer instinct and put a team away especially when you're at home."
