Toledo, OH - Former Rocket linebacker Jason Lamar signed a free agent contract with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday, June 6.

Lamar, who played three seasons for Toledo from 1997-99, was a first-team All-MAC linebacker in his junior and senior seasons. The Ypsilanti, MI native led the team in tackles with 103 in 1999, was second with 119 in 1998 and third in 1997 with 74.
