TOLEDO, Ohio - Student Veterans of America groups at The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University will come together on Saturday, Oct. 4 to deliver the game ball in their third annual "Ruck the Ball" march leading up to the annual Battle of I-75 football matchup between the Rockets and the Falcons at Bowling Green on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Battle of I-75 rivalry series is sponsored by Fremont Federal Credit Union.

Chapter leaders and members from both schools will leave the University of Toledo campus from the Rocket outside the Glass Bowl at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, and march 24 miles to Bowling Green State University to deliver a game ball replica. Leaders will also present the game ball to the officials prior to kickoff on game day.

The march aims to bring attention to the issue of the high suicide rate among our nation's veterans.

The 24-mile walk will be completed by both UToledo and BGSU SVA's along with members from ROTC and other campus and community organizations. All are welcome to participate and are not required to walk the full 24 miles if they do not wish to do so.
