Senior RF Jessica Lemieux is Toledo's Female Athlete of the Week after providing a spark on the UT offense this past week. Her consistency at the plate has helped Toledo register 10-straight wins. The senior went 8-for-16 for a .500 average to go with a home run, two doubles, five runs scored and five RBI.
Lemieux had an impressive weekend at the plate during Toledo's series vs. first-place NIU recording a .500 batting average, 1.000 slugging percentage and .571 on-base percentage. After the Huskies scored four quick runs in the second game, Lemieux hit a lead-off home run to spark the Rockets' offense. Toledo tied the game in the fourth due to Lemieux's RBI single. The Rockets then concluded the suspended game on Saturday in the 10th inning with a bases-loaded single by Lemieux to win the game, 7-6. The Tigard, OR native is currently riding a season-best 11-game hitting streak and a 12-game reached base streak.
