Erin Hegarty begins her first year as an assistant coach of the Toledo cross country and track & field programs in 2017-18.
Prior to joining the Rockets, Hegarty worked as a graduate intern at the University of North Carolina in student-athlete development. While at UNC, she also worked in athletic event management and academic services.
Hegarty competed in both cross country and track & field at Baylor. She scored in all but one cross country event and earned all-conference honors in the 10,000-meters with the Bears. Hegarty was also seleted to multiple Academic All-Big 12 teams and Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Rolls.
The Richland, Wash. native completed her undergraduate degree in health science studies at Baylor in 2015 and received her Master's in Sport Administration from UNC in 2017.
