AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
Made 23 appearances in the circle throwing 62.0 innings, with a team second-best 4.74 ERA. Her first career wins came in Games One and Three vs NIU (April 29-30)... Threw a career-high four strike outs vs. Central Michigan (April 20) and 7.0 innings Ohio (May 4).

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered four years in softball and three in volleyball  for Morenci Area High School ... Freshman year earned the Morenci Athletics ESPYS award for Rookie of the Year … Freshman and sophomore year was named All-District Pitcher of the Year, All-Region Pitcher of the year, Second Team All-County, and third in Lenawee County for strikeouts … Traveled to the Dominican Republic to play for the AIST Team USA … Named All-State pitcher in her senior season … broke the Morenci single season strikeout record with 330 … broke the Morenci single game strikeout record with 19.

Full name is Ellie Marie Price … Daughter of Amy and Chuck Price … Has one sister, Mikayla … Member of the volunteer club and was Vice President as a freshman, junior, and senior …  Majoring in exercise science.

WHY TOLEDO?
I’ve heard other athletes say that once you step on a campus you’ll know if that’s where you want to go. I didn’t know what that feeling was like until I stepped on Toledo’s campus. I felt safe and I know it was a place where I wanted to call home.
