Kailey Minarchick begins her first season as a student assistant coach with the Toledo softball program.
Prior to taking the title of student assistant, Minarchick competed for two years on the Toledo softball team as a pitcher. Minarchick started in 55 games during her career with the Rockets. The Columbia Station, Ohio native pitched a total of 358.2 innings in the Midnight Blue and Gold, earning 31 wins. Minarchick recorded 138 strikeouts in the circle for Toledo. Minarchick finished her Rocket career with two MAC West Pitcher of the Week awards, All-MAC first team accolades as a junior, All-Regional honors as a junior, and a MAC tournament championship ring.
Before coming to Toledo, Minarchick attended Owens Community College, where she was named OCCAC Pitcher of the Year. She received All-Region XII accolades and All-OCCAC first team honors. Minarchick was a four-time OCCAC Pitcher of the Week winner, and finished her freshman year with a 1.87 ERA. She completed conference play with a perfect 7-0
record, and earned an even 1.00 ERA.
