Daniel B. Johnson is in his second season as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant with the Rockets. He comes to Toledo from Mississippi State, where he served as a strength and conditioning intern in the football program this past season.
   Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State in 2018. A four-year letterwinner in football and track at Independence (Miss.) High School, Johnson went on to play football at Itawamba (Miss.) Community College, where he earned all-state and all-region honors at linebacker. He went on to play at Faulkner (Ala.) University where he was a team captain and earned first-team all-league honors.
