Video Operations Coordinator
 
 
The University of Toledo, Department of Athletics is seeking applications for a Video Operations Coordinator. The Athletic Video Operations Coordinator will assist the Marketing and Communications Departments and Rocket Sports Properties in developing the department’s video elements to promote the University’s 16 varsity sports, events/games, Rocket Fund, ticket sales, and sponsors, as well as assist with creating and producing a positive game day atmosphere.
  
   
This position’s duties include, but are not limited to the following: 
  • Create and implement videos, graphics and other elements to achieve the department’s goals of increased attendance, revenue, positive game day atmosphere and brand. 
  • Play a key role in game day production. This includes creating, organizing, loading and running content for the video boards, scorer’s table, and LED ring. Along with directing, training and working with the in-house camera crew and directors. Solve technical problems as well as assist with game element problems as they arrive.   
  • Work with the Video Producer Coordinator in creating, writing, scheduling, shooting, and editing PSAs, game highlights, video features, promotional videos, intro videos and more to accomplish goals.  
  • Work with the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Sales & Fan Experience, Assistant Director of Creative Services to ensure brand integrity is maintained in projects and that content follows brand tone in an authentic manner. 
  • Assist with social media content, posting and engagement across multiple sports. 
  • Maintain a strong relationship with other departments/teams within the Athletic Department and University. Work with Learfield/Rocket Sports Properties for sponsorship fulfillment and with the Communications department and assist with ESPN broadcasts when needed.   
  • Archive, organize and maintain Toledo Athletics footage from the past and present. 
  • Other projects as assigned by Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Sales and Fan Experience.  
 
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, or a related field.
  • Possess 2-3 years of professional experience in sports, communications or related field.
  • Full understanding of broadcast quality and be able to play a key role in the game day production. 
  • Expert level experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro and other non-linear video editing software, proper lighting techniques and composition, video sound, camera operation, different video board operating systems, emerging technologies and equipment as they develop while understanding the college athletics landscape. 
  • Candidates should also exhibit: Strong organizational and writing skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to be a team player, ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, skills in problem solving, conflict resolution and team management 
  • Working knowledge of NCAA Rules Compliance
