Post-Game Notes vs. Arkansas

  • This was Toledo's first ever victory over a team from the SEC. The Rockets previously were 0-3 with two losses to Missouri and one to Florida.
  • This was Toledo's first victory over a Top 25 team since a 29-23 win over No. 18 Cincinnati in the Glass Bowl in 2012. The highest ranked team defeated by Toledo was No. 9 Pittsburgh in 2003.
  • It was only the second time Toledo has defeated a Top 25 team on its home field and first-ever vs. a non-conference foe. The Rockets won at No. 24 Northern Illinois in 2004.
  • This was Toledo's first win over a "Power Five" conference since a 31-20 win over Purdue in 2010.
  • Toledo is now 8-14 vs. teams ranked in the Top 25.
  • Toledo's win marks the first MAC win against an opponent from the SEC since 2004 (Ohio 28-16 win at Kentucky on Oct. 2, 2004).

  • Senior Alonzo Russell caught one passes for 32 yards. It was the 39th consecutive game in which Russell caught at least one pass, accounting for every game in his four-year career.
  • Zach Quinn blocked a punt in the first quarter that led to Toledo's first touchdown. It was Toledo's first blocked punt since 2011 vs. Ohio State, a streak of 49 games without a blocked punt.
  • Junior Jaylen Coleman led Toledo with a career-high 13 tackles.
  • Toledo's defense was credited with eight pass breakups, led by a career-high three by senior cornerback Cheatham Norrils.
  • Junior safety DeJuan Rogers had his first career interception, a critical pick in the Arkansas end zone in the third quarter. Rogers added a career-high 11 tackles.
