Toledo Sits in Fifth Place After Day One of Rocket Classic

Rockets register 21-shot improvement from Round One to Round Two
SYLVANIA, Ohio – Junior Clare Yeazell led the Toledo women's golf team in the first two rounds of the Rocket Classic on Monday at Highland Meadows Golf Club. Yeazell is tied for 16th place after shooting a 12-over par 154 in her UT debut.
The Rockets displayed dramatic improvement from the morning to the afternoon by registering a 17-shot difference with a 17-over par 301 in Round Two.
Freshman Yi Belle Ngo posted the Rockets' best round of the day with a three-over par in the afternoon.
Central Michigan leads the seven-team field with a 27-over par 595, three shots in front of second-place Oakland.
The third and final round will begin tomorrow morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
