Toledo to return to action in February in Florida
KETTERING, Ohio – Sophomore Alice Tonts paced the Toledo women's golf team in Tuesday's final round of the University of Dayton Invitational. Tonts registered her best round of the tournament today with a six-over par 76 at the par-70, 5,880-yard NCR Country Club North Course.
The Rockets finished ninth in the team standings with a team score of 922. Butler captured the tournament title at 17-over par 857, with the Bulldogs' Addi Kool earning medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 4-under 206.
Junior Clare Yeazell and freshman Yi Belle Ngo were the Rockets' top finishers in the tournament, tying for 29th place at 17-over par.
"Success isn't built overnight, but the strides we made this fall proved what we're capable of when we work together," second-year Head Coach Ali Green said. "We're thrilled with how far we've come and can't wait to hit the ground running this off-season."
Toledo will return to action when it travels to Melbourne, Fla. to compete in the Space Coast Classic on Feb. 20-21.
