Toledo Completes First Round of MAC Championships in Akron

Valeria Lizcano, Rachel Mackinlay and Brooklyn Millard leading Rockets
AKRON, Ohio – Sophomores Valeria Lizcano, Rachel Mackinlay and Brooklyn Millard each carded six-over par 76s to lead Toledo in Sunday's first round of the Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships. The tournament is being held at the par-70, 6,105-yard Firestone Country Club.
Millard led the Rockets with four birdies today and was at four-over par before registering a double-bogey on her final hole.
Macklinlay tallied three birdies, including one on her final hole of the day.
Lizcano notched two birdies and was at three-over par before posting a triple-bogey on her second-to-last hole of the day.
No. 28 Kent State is leading the 10-team field at two-under par, three shots ahead of No. 19 Eastern Michigan. The Golden Flashes' Veronika Kedronová and Bowling Green's Sammie Dolce are tied for first place individually at three-under par.
The second round will be held on Monday with the third and final round taking place on Tuesday.
