Rockets set to compete in fifth-consecutive conference tournament
TOLEDO, Ohio – The No. 3 seed Toledo women's tennis team will face No. 2 seed Buffalo in the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Championship semifinals on Saturday, April 25. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. from the Miami Tennis Courts in Oxford, Ohio. Live results are available here.
The winner of the Toledo/Buffalo match will face the winner of the No. 1 seed UMass and No. 4 seed Miami contest in Sunday's championship match at 12:00 p.m.
Scouting the Rockets
Toledo is set to compete in its fifth-straight MAC Championship this weekend. The Rockets are riding a three-match win streak into the conference tournament after concluding the regular season with a 5-2 win over Bowling Green in the Battle of I-75. Sophomore Annika Munson clinched match point against the Falcons with a straight-set, 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) win on the No. 5 court.
Freshman Isabella Barretto and sophomore JJ Scholten earned First Team All-MAC accolades on Wednesday after tallying outstanding seasons. They became the first pair of teammates to earn First Team honors since Cassie Alcala and Sloane Teske in 2024.
Scouting the Bulls
Buffalo posted a 6-2 record in MAC play this season, winning their its first five conference matches en route to earning the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. Esmee Andresen was named to the All-MAC First Team while Maria Glowacka earned All-MAC Second Team honors.
The Rockets and Bulls met once during the 2026 campaign. UT fell, 6-1 in Buffalo, N.Y. on April 3.
