Toledo to return to action at MAC Championships on April 26-28
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore Rachel Mackinlay paced the Toledo women's golf team in Saturday's final round of the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational. The tournament was played at the par-72, 6,319-yard Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Course.
Mackinlay registered her best round of the tournament with a nine-over par 81. Sophomore Valeria Lizcano led Toledo in the individual standings by tying for 50th place.
The Rockets used just four players in the tournament with sophomore Brooklyn Millard forced to withdraw due to injury.
No. 36 Ohio State captured the tournament title at 26-over par, finishing two shots in front of No. 25 Iowa State and four ahead of No. 30 Kent State. Xavier's Madison Reemsnyder captured medalist honors by shooting a four-under 68 today to finish at three-under over 54 holes.
Toledo will be back in action next week when it travels to Akron, Ohio for the Mid-American Conference Championships on April 26-28.
