Troy Sudbrook Ranked No. 30 on D1Baseball Top Third Basemen List

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo redshirt junior infielder Troy Sudbrook has been ranked No. 30 among D1Baseball's Week 6 Top 50 Third Basemen, the outlet announced on Thursday.

Sudbrook is putting together a stellar 2026 season, especially at the plate. Through 22 games, he is hitting .370, with a 1.191 OPS, 31 RBIs, 25 runs scored, 12 doubles and four home runs. Sudbrook is tied for the team lead with 11 multi-hit games, collecting multiple hits in eight of his last nine contests. He leads the team with nine multi-RBI games, including three games of four RBIs.

In the field, Sudbrook has had a solid year patrolling the hot corner, with a .962 fielding percentage and 39 assists to just two errors. Sudbrook is on pace for a career high in fielding percentage.

The Avon, Ohio native is at or near the top of several Mid-American Conference statistical rankings, including tied for first in doubles (12), second in RBIs (31), third in slugging percentage (.716) and fifth in OPS (1.191). In the Division I ranks, Sudbrook is tied for sixth in doubles and tied for 28th in RBIs per game (1.41).

Sudbrook is the second infielder to be named the outlet's positional rankings this season. Shortstop Charlie Scholvin was ranked #41 in the country at his position in D1Baseball's preseason shortstop rankings. He was also the only third baseman from the Mid-American Conference named to Thursday's top 50 list.

A team captain, Sudbrook's play has led Toledo to a 6-3 record in MAC play through three series. The Rockets are tied for third place in the conference standings entering this weekend's series at Akron (4-5).
