Rockets pick up two singles win against conference opponent
DEKALB, Ill. – The Toledo men's tennis team fell to Mid-American Conference opponent Northern Illinois, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon in DeKalb, Ill.
Toledo earned its two points in singles play on Saturday. Hanamichi Carvajal tallied a three-set win on the No. 1 court, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 while Charlie Snow earned a straight-set win on the No. 6 court.
Juniors Poonthong Komolpisut and Cole Cozens battled in three-set matches on the No. 2 and 5 court, respectively, but came up short as Northern Illinois earned wins on four of the six courts.
Cozens and Snow tallied a tiebreaker win on the No. 1 doubles court, 7-6 (11-9), but Northern Illinois earned wins on the No. 2 and 3 courts to take the point.
