Troy Sudbrook drives in four runs to lead Toledo to second win of the series

Sudbrook opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning, added two more runs with a blast in the third, and pushed in a run in the ninth on a walk. Charlie Scholvin added two RBIs on a 3-for-4 night at the plate. A four-run sixth inning gave Toledo an 8-3 lead that held up.

Starter Nathan Leininger (1-0) picked up his first win of the season, allowing two earned runs in five innings of work. Nate Langbehn pitched the final 1.1 innings to earn the save.

Toledo will go for the series sweep tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. CT (2:00 ET).

"We had to grind out that win today. It was back-and-forth all day. Nate Leininger didn't have his best stuff, but battled all day and gave us a good start and a chance to win. Frey and Langbehn were solid out of the bullpen as well. The offense did a great job of swinging the bats and taking advantage of opportunities to score. Tomorrow is a huge test for this team early in the season, on whether we can be mature enough to come back and play another complete game."
