Rockets battle against four top-ranked singles opponents on Sunday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team fell to No. 6 ranked Ohio State, 4-0, on Sunday morning in Columbus, Ohio.
Ohio State picked up the doubles point with a 6-0 win on the No. 1 court and a 6-2 decision on the No. 2 court.
In singles play, the Buckeyes grabbed wins on the No. 6, 3 and 4 courts to clinch their fourth point and the match victory.
Junior Poonthong Komolpisut when unfinished on the No. 1 court singles court as he faced Aidan Kim, the No. 5 ranked singles player in the country. Senior Joshua Mackey was involved in a close first set against No. 42 ranked Nikita Filin on the No. 5 court before the match was abandoned.
