The women's volleyball team (5-1) continues non-conference play after posting a 2-1 record last weekend in Morehead, Ky. The Rockets are heading west to the Buffs Invitational on Friday, Sept. 12-Sunday, Sept 14 in Boulder, Colo. where they will face Denver, Colorado and Arkansas. Senior setter Kelsey Smith is helping orchestrate the offense, averaging 9.33 assists per set while sophomore libero Grace Freiberger is holding down the defense with 4.57 digs per set.

The men's and women's cross country programs are back in action at the Mel Brodt Invitational on Friday, Sept. 12 in Bowling Green, Ohio. At the Michigan Open on Aug. 29, Bella Earl led the women with a fourth-place finish while Loann Brelivet took fourth overall to pace the men's squad.

Toledo heads north to compete in Oakland's Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate this weekend. The Rockets will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course. Fellow Mid-American Conference members Bowling Green and Ohio will also be participating in the two-day event. Junior Solomon Petrie led UT in its opening event of the season by tying for 32^nd place at Tennessee's Visit Knoxville Collegiate.

Toledo (1-1) takes on the Morgan State Bears (0-2) this Saturday for the first time in Toledo football history. The game has been designated as a Gold-Out and fans are encouraged to wear gold. The Rockets are coming off a 45-21 triumph over Western Kentucky that secured head coach Jason Candle's program record-setting 74^th victory with Toledo. Senior running back Chip Trayanum led the offense, running for a career-best 163 yards.

Women's soccer finishes up its non-conference slate on Sunday at IU Indy. Toledo (3-1-1) looks to extend streaks of three-straight wins and four-straight unbeaten matches. The Rockets most recently defeated Detroit Mercy, 2-1 at Paul Hotmer Field on Thursday, behind goals from Morgan Spitler in the first half and Kaema Amachree in the second half.
