Lucas Britez Tallies 6-0 Record in Everybody vs. Cancer Invite

Rockets hosted first tournament of the 2025 fall season
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team wrapped up its first competition of the fall season hosting the Everybody vs. Cancer Invite. Lucas Britez led the team, posting a 6-0 record across singles and doubles play.
The Rockets hosted Case Western Reserve, Holy Cross (Ind.), Wayne State and Youngstown State in the three-day event.Â
Britez paired up with newcomer Alejandro Gonzalez for a 3-0 doubles record while Gonzalez went 3-1 in singles play to pick up his first win as a Rocket.
Freshman AJ Sidoti also earned his first win as a Rocket, combining with teammate Josh Mackey for a 3-0 record. Junior Cole Cozens paired up with Matias Olivero to win their first doubles match of the fall. Cozens then posted a 3-0 record in singles play, all of which were straight-set victories.

Poonthong Komolpisut and Hanamichi Carvajal will compete in the ITF M15 World Tour in Ann Arbor, Mich. Qualifiers begin on Monday, Sept. 22.
