TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team dropped the Mid-American Conference series opener to Bowling Green, 8-3, in front of a crowd of 2,325 fans at Fifth Third Field on Friday.

The Rockets (20-26, 10-12 MAC) fell behind 2-1 after the fourth inning, before a pair of runs from the Falcons (30-14, 17-8 MAC) followed by four more in the sixth pushed the game out of reach.

- The Falcons broke the game open with four runs in the seventh on an RBI single, bases-loaded walk and a two-run single.
