Toledo Travels to Ohio for Three-Game Series

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team hits the road for a Mid-American Conference matchup against Ohio in Athens, Ohio. The Rockets and Bobcats will play three games on Friday-Saturday, April 11-12. All three matchups will be streamed on ESPN+.

Ohio enters the weekend with a 25-10 (8-2 MAC) record and is second place in the league.

Toledo enters the weekend with a 10-22 (3-8 MAC) record.
The Rockets swept a twin bill against Michigan State on April 4. Kendra VanderLugt notched a two-run double to give Toledo the win in the first game. Maddie McKay tallied a walk-off single took the sweep over the Spartans.
Toledo leads the MAC in double plays per game (0.44) and ranks second in double plays (14), stolen bases per game (1.22) and sacrifice bunts (24).
VanderLugt is second in the league in doubles per game (0.28). She leads the team in hits (36) and ranks second in batting average (0.350) and runs scored (23).
Sophia Knight owns a staff-best ERA of 3.63. Knight pitched a career-high 9.0 innings against Michigan State, striking out five while allowing zero earned runs. The senior gave up only one earned run in 12.2 innings pitched last week.
