Senior Eli Enriquez leads offense with her 10th multi-hit game of the season
ATHENS, Ohio – The Toledo softball team dropped the opener of a three-game series to Ohio, 3-2, on Friday afternoon in Athens, Ohio.
Toledo (10-23, 3-9 MAC) was led by senior infielder Eli Enriquez, who went 2-for-3 with a double and knocked in a run. The senior has recorded multiple hits in each of the Rockets' last three games, and has 10 multi-hit games this season.
Senior pitcher Sophia Knight went the distance for Toledo, giving up two earned runs in six innings. She tallied four strikeouts on the afternoon, moving her career total to 350 which ranks eighth all-time in program history.
Hitting Highlights
Toledo will wrap up the series against Ohio with a doubleheader on Saturday. The games are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. with coverage on ESPN+.
