KENT, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team was defeated by Kent State, 6-2 in its Mid-American Conference weekend finale at Olga Mural Field at Schoonover Stadium on Sunday.

The Rockets (9-17, 4-8 MAC) scored twice in the fourth inning for a 2-1 lead, but the Golden Flashes (14-11, 7-2 MAC) completed the sweep by scoring the final five runs of the game. KSU took the lead for good on a fifth-inning home run.

How It Happened
- The Golden Flashes took a 1-0 lead on an infield single in the first.
- Luke Walton's RBI single and Cole Cahill's sacrifice fly put Toledo ahead, 2-1 in the fourth inning.
- Kent State tied things 2-2 in the fourth on an RBI double. Then, a two-run home run by Jake Casey in the fifth re-gained the lead for KSU, 4-2.
- The Golden Flashes tacked on run on a Toledo throwing error in the sixth and an RBI double in the seventh.
